  1. A LOT more training. A doctor can prescribe medicine, as well as many other things a nurse can't and does not do.

  2. accountability

  3. Many years more of education for the doctor.  They are much more knowledgable although there are some very smart nurses.  But a nurses education stops way before the doctors.

  4. about 8 years of school.

  5. A nurse is passive when the doctor is active.

And the doctor is passive when the nurse is active.

  6. are you serious?!
