Question:

What's the difference between a full, queen, and double bed?

I've been looking for a duvet cover for my double bed, but it seems that bedsheets only come in three sizes: twin, full/queen, and king.

So what gives? Is a full the same size as a queen? If so, where does the double size fit in?

  1. full, queen, kings differentiate in inches. a double bed...twin maybe. that's a very small bed. I have never heard of a double bed...but i now that the sizes differentiate in inches..go to a store and ask a sales associate.

  2. Full is slightly larger than a single and a double is twice the size a queen is larger still and the king is the largest.

  3. in order of size:

    twin/single  (same thing)

    full/double   (same thing)

    queen

    king

    california king

  4. full and double are the same thing, and i can not find a feakin cover either!!!!! haha they used to call it a double because they thought that it was DOUBLE the size of a queen, but it's not so now they call them full

  5. sizes???

  6. full and double are the same thing.. queen is the next size up.. then king.. i think =)
