What's the difference between a gastric band and a gastric bypass?

  1. A Gastric band is fitted around the stomach to drastically reduce it's size.

    A Gastric bypass does exactly that - it bypasses the stomach so that less nutrients are absorbed into the body.

    I would not do either, better to expend more calories in exercise than you stuff into your face, much healthier way of losing weight.
