What's the difference between a hill and a mountain?

  1. Mountains are taller and steeper.


  2. A hill is an uneven surface on the ground, that does not grow or shrink in size because its basically a mound of DIRT.

    A mountain is 2 plates in the earth's crust pushing up against each other. When that happens, one of the plates is lifted above the other by being pushed above. The other plate it pushed beneath. Each year, the plates push together more and the mountain slowly increases in size.
