  1. no difference

  2. Hi Wrighty,

A netbook is just a tiny tiny computer only used for email and light web surfing.

Soon they will be down to $250 or less.

They often run on an Atom microprocessor.

  3. Netbooks are mainly for the web and email. They can't do nearly as much as laptops.

  4. Nothing.

The term laptop came from the idea that it would become a computer that you sit with on your lap and use. However, as modern laptops are often far to hot to use in such a manner comfortably, they really aren't laptop's anymore. The term notebook is meant to recognize that the computer is still a portable computer, but it is best used with a desk or table.

It's all marketing though, the two names are just that names. The computers are the same design, and will run with the same specs.

  5. 2 names for the same thing.

Just like there's no difference between a car and a vehicle, its just 2 words for the same thing.
