1. Well, actually "jungle" is not too good a term, it's too general. Generally people use the term "jungles" to describe a hot, wet forest in the tropics. One kind of rain forest is a "jungle". In the business we call them "tropical, moist, deciduous forest".

(one type rain forest); but some rain forests are "cloud forests"

found at high elevations, with abundant rain. In fact, there are temperate zone rain forests. We have one in the U.S. on the Olympia peninsula in Washington state. The Olympia National Park is there. michael

  2. there is no difference

two names for the same thing

although there are rainforrsts in temporate climates

and jungles tend to be tropical only

jungle is not a scientific name

  3. a rainforest is a more specific description of a jungle.

  4. there is probably one difference,---by the name one would say there is more rain in a rain forest than a regular forest You can check this out by typing [tell me the difference between a rain forest and a regular forest] and now you have me curious i have to check this out also

  5. A rain forest may be tropical or temperate, such as those those found in Brazil or Oregon and Washington States. A jungle is found only in hot humid areas of the world.

  6. i would like to think of a rainforest as a complete flora and fauna ecosystem. a jungle, to me, would be simply plants with little diversity of species.

  7. While the simple answer would be the amount of rain, but in reality, there is none. They are synonyms.

  8. Gorillas and guerrillas.
