What's the difference between a subwoofer and kicker?

Question

Been looking for a mean bass, along with an amp.

I don't know what to pick. Sub or Kicker?

What's the difference anyway?

bass is produced by a sub woofer. Kicker is a company that makes some pretty load thump. Unless you are talking about the positioning of a speaker. Which "kicker" would be described as a component speaker in the lower door (where your feet are). Component speakers are for the mids not usually bass. Kicker the company makes good subs but the amps are expensive. so go with kicker subs and like some cheaper amp.

I believe that Kicker is a brand name. A subwoofer is a subwoofer. Many companies make them and Kicker is one of them.

There is no difference. Kicker is just a fancy name for one. It is a brand, actually, and it is for a car.

kicker is a sub but if i was you i would get jl audio has always been just as cheap and have always sounded better if you ask me

kicker is a brand and sub is just a subwoofer and kicker makes good subwoofer along with amps and other stuff

a kicker is a brand of sub and it is a good one they are good for some good bass i recomend a 12'' kicker if thats the kind you want the got some good ones that can beat a 15'' sub easy

Kicker is a brand of a subwoofer.. BTW, be sure to get the setup professionaly installed if you dont know much about setting it up. And Kicker is a good quality brand, from my experience with them.
