  1. a tornado watch is when a storm is starting  and awarning is when it threatens your area and it is time to get ready for  the tornada.

  2. "Watch" means conditions are right for tornado formation... so keep an eye out.

"Warning" means a tornado has actually formed and has been sighted.  A funnel cloud does not become a tornado (or constitute a warning) until it touches the ground.

  3. A watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes.  A warning means that a tornado has been spotted or indicated by Doppler radar and you should take cover immediately!

  4. A tornado WATCH means that conditions are right for a tornado to happen- high damaging winds/the right mixture of tempurature, moisture and wind.

A tornado WARNING means that a tornado or funnel cloud has developed and to take cover. Tornadoes can be extremley dangerous. The best place to take cover is in a basement or bathroom.

    Hope I helped!
