  1. Same instrument - it is the style of music you play on it .  Hope I was helpful.

  2. how you play it, violins are played under the chin, and fiddles are played in the crook of the arm..... but basically it's just two different names for the same instrument.

  3. violins are fiddles. It is a country phrase.

  4. a  violin is informally called a fiddle. they are the same instrument. the difference is that fiddling refers to a type of country music like bluegrass or cajun. the violin and fiddle are the same instrument but different music hope i helped :):):)

  5. the same instrument playing classical music would be called a violin.

the same instrument playing country and western would be called a fiddle.
