What's the difference between a water filter and a purifier?

  1. filter does just that filters out organic material/debris to a certain micron size that the filter in made for

    purifier does just that it purifies the water either chemically (chlorine injection) or with a UV light it will kill the beasties in the water that can be harmful to humans.

    filters are generally at either end of the purifying process one at the first stage to remove larger materials  then the purifier and then a more finer filter to remove the finer particles


  2. A Water filter is the one which filters the water at the last moment without using some real technique and water purifiers are the ones which purify the water within the container by a series of process and kills away all the germs.

  3. A water filter is a device which removes impurities like solids from water by means of a fine physical barrier, chemical process and/or biological process but a water purifier is a divice which removes from water mainly patogens.
