  1. Go to Monoprice.com, Partsexpress.com or BlueJeancables.com  you can buy a six foot HDMI froom 4.00-10.00 at these sites, compared to 100.00 at BestBuy for Monster brand.  If you can't do internet, Wal-Mart sells a Phillips brand for 20.00 that is just as good as Monster.

  2. Theres no difference between them, its just marketing hype, people get fooled into believing it. The only thing that does affect HDMI cables is the length of the cable, 15m or anything above can cause problems.

Thats not true videoCWK, more expensive cables 'wont' improve quality over long distances. You need to use a booster/s to compensate the degradiation over long lengths.

  3. all same except the quality.

  4. If you only have a short distance from the PS3 and the TV, get a short cheap one. That'll do fine. But if you have a long distance to cover then you'll want to go with a heavy duty brand, such as Monster. People will tell you Monster is a waste of money. And it is, but only sometimes. Their longer HDMI cables are worth the money. Let me explain.

When you get right down to it, it's just ones and zeroes traveling across the HDMI cable. On a short cable, they have a short distance to cover, so a flimy lower quality cable will do OK because of the shorter trip they take. On a longer cable though, they can "distort." When that happens, it gets harder for the TV to tell what is a one and a zero, and that can cause graininess. Higher quality cables don't distort as much or at all, so that's why to cover a long distance you'll want a better cable.

  5. Just get the cheapest. There pretty much all the same.

  6. HDMI is a digital code string that is transmitted from the device to your TV. There is no quality between cables. You either have the code or not. All cables are the same. A 200 dollar Monster is the same as a 2 dollar Monoprice.com cable.

  7. Like others said don't spend too much on an HDMI cable as they're all the same pretty much. I bought one of these for my PS3 and it has worked great so far. They had good prices and it shipped really fast:
