What's the difference between an atheist and a theist.

P.S. I know this question has been asked before but those questions don't have the straight forward answer I am looking for.

2nd P.S. Haha, A-theist. They both sound alike.

    atheist......someone who don't believe in the God.

    a ..this letter at the first of the word give the opposite meaning.

    Theists believe in God or Gods, while

    Atheists believe that God/s do not exist.

    Non of the two positions are proven as theists cannot prove the existence of God/s while Atheists cannot prove the non-existence of God/s.

    Agonostics are people who admit and are satisfied to let the question rest by saying that they do not know if God/s exist or do not exist.

    Atheist = Believes in no gods.

    Theist = Believes in god(s).
