    it has a very small gap between the opening of " E " sharp,it uses special steel alloy plates rather than pure steel plate use on ordinary  power transformer.

  3. An audio transformer is designed to be operated within the audio range, usually about 20Hz to 20kHz.  The manufacture of the core determines its frequency range.

    A 'normal' transformer is intended for connection to the mains, so the core is manufactured from iron and will operate at low frequencies.
