  1. A replacement grip is a whole new grip that you can buy if your grip on your handle is like all messed up. You have to take it off and then apply the new replacement grip.

    A overgrip is not really a grip at all. It's more a new covering for your grip. It is not meant to replace your grip but merely added on to a grip that's lost it's traction so it won't slip anymore.


  2. over grip goes over the original grip.

    replacement grip replaces the original grip.

    typically, a replacement grip is thicker and will last longer than a over grip.  i usually just buy the three pack of over grips, b/c i prefer to use a new grip than to use one that last longer.
