What's the difference between black and very black mascara?

i was buying covergirl lash blast mascara and they had 'black' and 'very black' mascara...ok i wanted very black but my mom said that's too dark cause im really fair. so i bought black. what's the difference

since you're really fair, very black could be too harsh for your complexion. the difference may be different amounts of kohl or another ingredient in the mascaras. since you already have black, there is not really a point in buying very black because the difference is probably very small.
