  1. A bistro is an informal restaurant, a café is an informal bistro ..

At a bistro you can expect cutlery with your food, they probably don't have a bar, and if they do, it's pretty much just for waiting for a table. Some bistros will have tablecloths, and the prices will probably be higher than at a café, because it has more of the restaurant feel ...

At a café you are as likely to just have a coffee, soda or beer, as you are having a meal. The menu is limited, and they serve salads and sandwiches at all hours - for which you won't get a knife and fork, unless the meal would be impossible to eat without.

  2. About £20

  3. jeans spot on but also it can be service too,the lines arent as clear now, restaurants would NEVER clear a table until EVERY main was finished, some bistros have hotboxes for self service or you have to collect your own meal whereis cafes and restaurants served your meals/drinks..but they make their own rules now

  4. Pretentiousness and price
