  1. What 'bree' said is right- a university is  basically made up of numerous colleges and while a college offers a collection of degrees in one specific area (say physics), a university offers a range of degrees in many different areas.


  2. A university provides undergraduate and graduate degrees with more subjects to choose from but a college has fewer subjects that you can study.

  3. A university has multiple schools i.e. School of Medicine, School of Business, etc. A college is just one school, i.e  college of engineering, liberal arts college.
