What's the difference between corporate, government, normal or discount accomodation rates?

  1. corporate tells you they'll give you a discount and never give it to you but government will disavow all knowledge of the existence of any discount in the first place...


  2. Corporate rate is the rate that given by the accomodation for those business traveller - there is an agreed rate before the hotel and the company that those business traveller work in. This is normally cheaper than normal or leisure rate.

    Government rate is the rate given by the accomodation to those  who works for government. Theoratically speaking, it is supposed to be a 'cheap' rate too, but practically, accomodation are charging higher rate to these people as the government are the ones who's paying.

    Normal rate is just basically the normal/actual rate that they are charging to all guest which depends on seasons/period.

    There is also industry rate which is a special rate (normally cheaper) given to those who are studying or working in the hotel industry.
