What's the difference between creep and freak?

What's the difference between being or doing the action of creeping someone out vs. freaking someone out or being freaked out?

  1. the words. but i guess its like creeping someone out is scaring them and freaking them out is making them go crazy...?


  2. I would put "creep" in the same category as "stalker"... Or someone who is just "a little bit tooo into you".  LOL... ex. "that guy at the bar keeps buying me drinks... He is really creepin' on me!!"

    Freak is in the category of being extremely different than the norm, or into very absurd things.. ex. "OMG, she is such a freak!!  I heard she's into switch-hitting, and beating up her lovers!!"

    See the difference? That is just my view tho'... It could be different for others.

  3. I thought freaky was different & creepy was scary.

    I don't mind being called freaky, but it really bothers me if I am ever called creepy, I want to set it straight that I am not a creep.
