  1. I've always thought efficiency is related to time. If you're efficient you do a job well in a timely manner. Effectiveness seems more related to how good you are (ie effective) and this will probably take longer to accomplish as you would be more methodical.

  2. efficiency = being productive without waste.

effectiveness = the actual production or the power to produce the desired results, especially as being viewed after the fact

  3. Efficiency is knowledgeble people giving their positive out put of work they have asked to do.

Effectiveness is motivate and well planning and time to get positive team work output.

  4. efficiency is how good something is at processing something

effectiveness is what it acutely does in real life

  5. Efficiency is doing something the best way, at the least cost. Other determining factors can include quickest time, least materials, least labor, etc.

Effectiveness is how well something performs.  For example, the "New Coke" ad campaign a few years ago was a complete flop, and it actually caused Coke sales to go down, and Pepsi sales to go up.

  6. effectiveness-a system, process, action, etc. does what it is supposed to do-desired results are achieved

efficiency-desired results are achieved by expending a reasonable, expected amount of resources. is the effort required to do something worth the end result? efficiency is directly related to making money. you can effecively produce something, but if it costs more than you can sell it for to produce it, it is not efficient and you can not sustin your business
