  1. soccer is called football by some. and rugby is rugby.

but sometimes people confuse football with rugby aswell, only the name that is.

but the two sports are totally different....n i love em both.

but i love rugby more............GO    FIJI    GO....

  2. Football is better!

  3. Rugby is played by men

Football is played by women in shorts

  4. rugby is a REAL man's game.

  5. That's a bit of a vague question, because there are several answers for it.  Football (ie: kicking the round shaped ball into a netted goal area) is in some places called soccer.  Therefore the difference is that they are completely different games with different balls and rules.

Football could be like American Football or Gridiron - in which case similar ball, different offensive/defensive teams, lots and lots and lots of padding which must surely obstruct a player's vision.

Football by some friends has been misconstrued as 'footy' or Aussie Rules......... really weird as game IMO, same/simlar ball that can get bounced/passed/kicked around an oval/round (?) shaped field.  I can't tell whether or not this game is basketball/soccer or rugby based at times, lol.

Or else Football could actually be Rugby.......... which would make the answer to your question - none at all, it's the same game.

  6. Football is played with a round ball and netting around the goal. Rugby has a Oval shape ball and the goal is about six metres high give or take a  few metres more with no netting.

    Hope this answers your Question.

  7. depends on what you mean by football... either way, rugby is a tougher way better sport
