  1. Hardware is the physical components inside your computer case. These include, but are not limited to:

    -Motherboard

    -Processor

    -Hard drives

    -CD/DVD drives

    -Floppy Drives

    -The power supply unit

    -RAM

    -Graphics/sound cards

    -Network cards

    Software is the various programs that have been coded in any of those languages (C++, Perl, Python, Java, etc), compiled, and set to run on your operating system, which is also software. Essentially, from the moment you boot your computer, everything you see is the result of code controlling the various pieces of hardware to do things you want it to do.
