    Q1 - What do you think of your job/life/anything...

    listening would be taking down the first responses - probing would be asking further questions to get a 'fuller' result ' ok, so your job is bad.. why is that? is it just your job, or is it your workmates? does your homelife get in the way of work...

    by probing  - it takes a lot more time, and a lot more skill, and the result is more qualitative then quantative - and should only be used in research that requires it
