What's the difference between low-rise and high rise mens briefs?

I need underwear and Jockey underwear is on sale. Whats the difference between the high and low rise briefs though? Im not sure what I have no and not sure which to buy.

high rise is like granny underwear for older men.  Low rise is for younger men.

jockey  brand are like the high rise brief are same a regular brief and low rise is like a hipster i once worked in jockey plant for 23 years and good quality  i made them both hope this help you

Low rise waistbands cling below/on your hipbone, high rise waistbands are above your hipbones.

I think low rise is below your waist and hi rise is above your waist. I am not a male but I think that is what it means.
