  1. Marble is metamorphosed limestone composed primarily of CaCO3. Granite on the other hand is a slow cooled, felsic, intrusive, igneous rock which contains quartz, mica and varying types of feldspar along with various other minerals.

  2. Marble is metamorphosed limestone, which is mainly Clacium Carbonate. When limestone is metamorphosed, it changes from being composed of tiny bits of calcium carbonate into tiny interlocking crystals of it. Large amounts of heat and pressure are required for limestone to metamorphose limestone into marble.

Granite Is what is known as a plutonic igneous rock. Like other plutonic igneous rocks, it is formed deep under ground as a mass of magma that slowly cools into interlocking crystals. There are many kinds of minerals that make up granite, mostly quartz, mica and different kinds of feldspars, though other minerals can often be found in granite, but in much smaller amounts.

Granite is harder than marble as the majority of minerals that make up granite are marder. Also granite often has a spotted appearance wheras marble looks  more uniform, usually white or gray, but it can come in other colors. Also one more intersting fact about marble is that since it is made of Calcium Carbonate, it reacts easily with carbonic acid, when it react it fizzes and creates carbon dioxide

    I hope this helps :)

  3. In geology, Marble is a metamorphic rock formed when heat and pressure is applied to Limestone or Dolomite.

Granite is an intrusive igneous rock composed of quartz, alkali feldspar (orthoclase), and plagioclase feldspar within a certain ratio.  Outside that ratio of those minerals and the igneous rock receives a different name.

In home furnishing, Marble is given to any metamorpic rock and Granite is given to any igneous rock that you can see the grains.
