What's the difference between marine force recon and the reg USMC infantry?

whats the difference between the training? is it like the SF where you have to be recommended to join?

  1. well what i think its pretty much like the special forcres of the marines they are the frist to fight i was watching that show generation kill and some guy said they went to dive,airborne,and ranger school so i think they are special forces  


  2. FOCON is nothing like Special Forces at all. FOCON Recons areas for divisions. Infantry goes in and does Direct action nothing special.

    Training for Recon is way harder than Infantry.

    Force Recon also doesn't  exist. If you played COD and were inspired everything about the game is wrong.

  3. A marine recon team is a team which is a part of the regular marine corps. The difference lies in the training and mission it is oriented to. Recon stands for Reconnaissance, it is a patrol team that engages enemies on sight if they are specifically ordered to so, but they are usually ordered to gather info regarding enemy position and strength in a certain Area of Responsibility (AOR) assigned to their unit. I hope that would help.
