  1. Outdoor volleyballs have lower internal air pressure.  They feel spongy and more bouncy.  They are heavier to stop their movements in the wind.  (You should try an indoor ball in the wind.)   The outdoor ball has some treatment to prevent damage from moisture.  You can get an outdoor ball wet without permanent damage.  You can not do that with an indoor ball.  Once an indoor ball gets wet, the leather gets hard and brittle.

  2. outdorr volleyballs are made to withstand weathering. indoor volleyballs are not, so if you leave and indoor volleyball outside, it will weather and will not be able to be used again.  yes, they are made out of different materials.

  3. OUT DOOR VOLLEYBALL IS OUTSIDE AND ON SAND 3/4 OF THE TIME, LIKE THE AVP TOUR PRO VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS.

    INSIDE IS IN A GYM.

AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME RULES
