  1. Ponys are baby horses.

Mimi horses never grow too big. About half the size of a regular hourse.

  2. Ponies are NOT baby horses, geez.

A 'pony' is any horse that-when full grown-is less than 14.2 hands high. A hand in horse terms is equal to four inches.

A Miniature Horse is a breed, just like Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred. It is part of the breed standard that they be under 34 inches or 38 inches, depending on which registry you listen to.

  5. I think it also has to do with breeds.

  6. Miniature horse is really tiny, not over 40cm. While a pony is bigger then that.
