  1. Snooker is played on a much larger table with 15 red balls and 6 other balls. You must pot a red ball before a coloured ball and the highest break is 147.

  2. "Pool" is most likely 8 or 9 ball, I'm guessing that's what you mean.

Snooker is played with a different set of balls and has different rules.

  3. Snooker is a european game with some sort of different rule sets and definetely different objective.  Pool is the american version of that.

  4. in pool you have your stripe and solid balls.  You hit them with the que ball.  In snooker you have red balls as well.  (not sure how many)  but, you have to hit a red ball before you hit the other balls, or something like that.

  5. Bout $2 an hour

  6. The size of the table: a snooker table (5ft X 10ft or 6ft X 12ft) is larger than a pool table (4ft X 8ft or 5ft X 10ft)

The shape of the pockets: snooker table pockets are narrower and rounded, pool table pockets are angular and are 2 balls wide.

Size of the balls and cues: pool balls and cues are generally larger than snooker balls and cues, though many people use the same cues for both.

The total number of balls on the table: 16 balls in pool (1-15 and cueball), 22 in snooker (15 red balls, 6 coloured balls and cueball)

The rules of the games: in pool there are 7 solid balls (1-7), an 8 ball and 7 striped balls (9-15).  The idea of the game is to pocket all your 7 solid or striped balls in numerical order and then the 8 ball.  In snooker, each ball has a specific value and you must sink a red ball then a coloured ball then a red then a colour again until all reds are gone then the colours are shot in order of value.

    That's pretty much it.
