  1. private school is when they teach a religion or something and is a little more conservative in their teachings and stuff(or at least thats hat was how the school as that i used to goto was) and then preschool is what you go to before kindergarten


  2. One costs more than the other. Washington State, where I live, does not run preschools, only grades K (kindergarten)  through 12, which means all preschools are privately owned and operated. No preschool receives any public funding, either state or federal. With no public funding, that makes all preschools private.

    Edit: Whoops! I forgot about Headstart! Which means some preschools DO get some level of public funds for participating in the program...

  3. All preschools are private preschools except for Head Start and possibly some preschools that are at the public school.

  4. A public preschool is free and open to everyone. A private preschool, usually, the child has to pass an age appropriate test and you have to pay to go there.
