What's the difference between pretty and hot??

like if a guy calls u pretty or if they call u hot?

is that the same thing?

please tell me the difference

They can both have a lot of meanings.

Pretty can mean cute, beautiful face, classic beauty, all around attractive

Hot can also mean beautiful face, but I tend to think of it more like nice  body, sometimes guy just think girls are hot because they were provocative or s**y clothes even though they aren't actually as physically attractive as other girls. Sometimes hot though just means that you're really attractive naturally, not because you make yourself up a certain way. Hot can be a lot harder to decipher you just have to know the person who's saying it!

If a guy calls you pretty then he's really cares about you and thinks you are genuinly beautiful. All guys call their girlfriends hot...I don't really consider it that much of a compliment.
