  1. Exactly what the words imply.

Non-stop or one stop:  You get on the plane at your starting airport and get off at your destination.

Connection flight:  You get on the plane at your starting airport and get off the plane in city B. You get on another plane in city B and get off the plane either at your destination or another city where you take another plane to get to your destination.

  2. a one stop means you will stop at an Airport before your destination but you will not have to get off and catch another plane.  You will just stay in your seat while others board and deboard.

Connection means at an Airport other than your destination your plane will land and you will have to get off that plane and get on another
