  6. "Molestation is anything sexual you do not like, reguardless of age. A 20 year old who has someone grab his/her privates, who does not like it, is molested.

Rape is intercourse against the persons will (male or female)"

  11. Molestation is what happens to a minor and usually by a friend or family member and usually continues for months or years and can include sexual intercourse but is usually just inappropriate touching.. while RAPE is random and involves unwanted forceful sexual intercourse.. Multiple victims

  12. "Molestation" is not really a legal term.  Rape involves penetration against the will of the victim.  Other crimes do not require penetration.  In crimes against children, consent is usually not a factor.  Even consentual sexual contact with children is prohibited.

When used by CPS molestation usually means any type of sexual assault! It is not a term normally used by law enforcement!
