What's the difference between raw honey and 100% pure honey?

  1. Raw honey still has all the live natural enzymes in it while "pure" has no enzymes because of the processing. Pure honey has been heated which kills all the enzymes your body needs to digest it. In other words, its not natural. Raw honey is, its also alot more expensive!


  2. raw will have some solids in it...it has not been filtered or processed........it may have wax in it, or even a waxy taste and mouth feel sometimes.

'Raw' honey will still be solid straight from the hive and will be 'honey-comb' (which is how I like it when I can afford it) and the 'pure' honey has been processed and unless you are willing to pay the price for a certain kind,which depends on which wild flowers the bee has been getting the nectar from, you will end up with a much inferior honey made from various kinds, a real mishmash or mix.

  5. I think "raw" means it's straight from the hive, and pure means it's been processed.
