  1. renewable sources of energy are those which can b reused;

    eg:solar energy,wind energy and tidal energy;

    they do not get extinguished;

    eg:tides can b used again and again to generate   hydroelectricity;

    they r infinite;

    eg:the sun is said to b an infinite source of energy;

    they r environmentally friendly -they do not cause pollution;

    eg:solar energy can b generated without depleting the world's resources;

    the machines developing these energies are costly ;

    eg:the solar water heater and solar cooker r quite expensive;

    non renewable resources r just the opposite;

    they cannot b reused;

    eg;some types of plastic,wood;

    they do get extinguished;

    eg:wood ,petroleum,oil,etc.

    they r finite energy resources(CANNOT B USED AGAIN ONCE USED);

    eg :wood ,petroleum,oil ,etc.

    they cause pollution and r environmentally harmful;

    eg:wood,petroleum,oil ,plastic when burnt causes alot of pollution;

  2. renewable can be made as fast as there used nonrenewables cant.

  3. Wind, solar, tidal, bio fuels and nuclear are the main renewable fuels.

    Oil, coal and natural gas are non-renewable fuels.

  4. Allow me to simplify this answer! You have recieved several great answers already, here is mine!

         Paper is renewable and styrofoam in not, it lingers around for perhaps hundreds of years but we are told one hundred; we really do not know. And they last in our lands all that time. Oil is not, even though more of it is made continuously through animals and human deaths. ~ The above are just examples: Anything that can be reused is renewable. So if you take your used tin can, glass bottles and paper used to the recycle stations you are recycling renewable sources. And I do hope you are doing as I suggest to do your small part to help Mother Nature sustain Herself for our needs and the needs of the animals and plant-life that we idiot Humans need to sustain ourselves? And yes! that was a question. Excellant question!

  5. Renewable energy is that energy derived from resources which are not finite. So wind power. & solar power are RENEWABLE energy sources because they will not run out. There will always be wind and always be sunlight. There is no end to the supply of those things.

    Non renewable energy sources are those which are finite. So coal is non-renewable since one day (soon?) they will find that there is no more coal underneath the earth and then that will not be a viable energy source anymore, since we cannot manufacture new coal or grow it etc. and it takes millions of years and precisely the right conditions and elements to be produced naturally.

    Bio-fuels can be said to be renewable energy sources since they are grown (corn, palm oil etc) but they are environmentally damaging because the bio-fuel crops are being grown where we need to grow food to prevent massive world hunger.

    Fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas are also finite resources because just like coal they will run out one day. It is thought by some people that peak oil levels will be reached sometime in the next decade. That means that world oil stocks will reach a certain level and then begin to fall swiftly. We could be out of oil on the planet in less than fifty years. If renewable energy sources do not begin to be seriously investigated by world governments very soon we will be dacing the worst human crisis in the history of the planet.

  6. Renewable energy is energy that comes from unlimited natural sources, like water, wind and the sun. Non-renewable energy comes from sources like fossil fuels and oil.
