  1. With an individual who is an introvert they enjoy solitude activities and feel they need that time to themselves. They would choose to work one on one with someone, rather in a group setting. Quite opposite from an extrovert who feels they need social time with others. It is also not just a "want" but liken to a need. An introvert can be a shy person, but it is more feeling the need to have the time to self, rather than more with needing to feel that time to spend the majority of their time with others.

With a shy individual it can be someone with low self-confidence and just not very open and outgoing. A shy individual can be an extrovert, feeling they want to spend time with others, but also shy to really open up or be the "attention-grabber" in a social function.
