What's the difference between sofball and baseball?

everything's the same except for the size of the ball, and bat. typically chicks play softball but they're really both uni-s*x so whatever

that is probably the stupidest question ever, but ill answer.

ok here we go,

-there are 2 types of softball, fastpitch and slowpitch (who could ever guess)

-there is 1 type of baseball.

-pro baseball plays 9 inns

-pro softball (both kinds) play 7 innings

-the bat is smaller for softball, bigger for baseball.

(i would go into more detail, but u would fall asleep cause its just lengths and stuff)

-the ball size is different. (all u need to no is that the baseball is smaller and the softball is a tad bigger.

-and there are different rules for 1st base in softball.

-the distance of the fence is constant from the home plate for softball, and obviously different for baseball.

- in baseball the pitching distance is 60 feet away from the home plate, and is around 40 for softball.

-both baseball and fastpitch softball have 9 defense players, but softpitch has 10.

-everyone can have extra players, (such as Dh's or subs)

-bunting is allowed in all but softpitch, where the batter is automatically out if contact is made.

-once again both but softpitch are allowed 1st base if the player gets hit but not for softpitch.

-base stealing is allowed for bball and fpitch but depends on the level for spitch

-the delivery of the pitch cab be any method in bball, usually overhand, but softball has to be underhand, and it looks like it hurts alot too, you will see someday if u watch a game.
