What's the difference between someone considered a s**t, and just a promiscuous woman?

I know there has to be a difference, because some people have respect for certain women who just choose to live promiscuously, but then there are certain people that are labelled as s***s for some reason. Are their motives different or something?

They're synonymous.  One in the same.  No difference.  A s**t is promiscuous and a promiscuous woman is a s**t.

I would say a **** is anyone (boy/girl/man/woman) who has no standards and will sleep with anything that moves, or who uses s*x for other ends. They lack respect for themselves and / or the people they sleep with.

A man / woman may be promiscuous but still have high standards and self respect / respect for the people they sleep with.

Personally I wouldn't label anyone a ****, but this is the way I would differentiate between the two if I had to.

For me there isn't one. I think that promiscuous women are s***s, and I think that promiscuous men are what hubs has dubbed "man whores". It is a lifestyle that i think is seriously immoral.

I don't think there is a difference.  I have never heard of anyone having respect for a "promiscuous woman" (or man) which I think is just a nice way of calling someone a s**t.

It depends on how big of a prejudiced idiot the person labeling her is. Usually, a woman is called a s**t by either:

a) A man angry because she will sleep with others but not him; or

b) A woman who is jealous of her.
