Yesterday I was watching Ghost Rider the movie, Nicolas Cage said "he may have my soul, but he doesn't have my spirit." What's the difference between them?

  1. well they both can mean the same thing, however spirt can also refur to free will and aspects on personality, you can say a horse is "spirted" meaning that horse is lively, soul(when spelt soul)only really means one thing, however spirt has more than one mening

    Hope that makes sence.

  2. that makes no sense at all, but hey thats hollywood for you. Soul and spirit are the same thing in religious terms. But Cage may have been referring to something more prosaic like his "fighting spirit" or "spirit of survival" or something like that.
