What's the difference between south node and true node?

  1. Both peeps above answer correctly, and oh so nicely.  Must be some trolls around with crackin' fingertips!  LOL. As my friend calls it: "getting the stink eye"

    If you just deal with the South and North node and forget about the true and mean, you'll be fine.

    The south node is the point in your chart opposite the north node. North node indicates your karmic goals for this lifetime, south node indicates your karmic debt.

    There are two different ways of calculating the nodes, true node, which allows for the nodes to move in both direct and retrograde motion, and mean node, in which the nodes only move in retrograde.

  3. Yes, the above answerer said it well.  The south node indicates karma from a previous lifetime, and the north node is indicative of lessons to be learned in this lifetime.  Aspects to the north node will help understand how easy or difficult or if at all the lessons will be learned.

    The symbol for the south node is like a horseshoe with the opening at the top, and the north node has the opening at the bottom.
