Me and my buddy were at Steak and Shake and got into a discussion about how steak burgers (Like at Steak and Shake) were different from regular hamburgers (like Burger King). He's convinced that they are all really ground beef because they come from cows, While I think they're made from different portions of the cow. You be the judge!

  1. different grades of ground beef are used- ground sirloin, ground round, ground chuck- made from different portions of the cow. You are right.

  2. So would all cow be ground beef?  How about tuna steak?

  3. As your friend said, steak and ground beef come from a cow.  However, when you discuss Steak and Shake, the ground beef they use is from the parts of the beef that are usually sold as steaks.  Ground beef can come from the less select parts of the cow.

  4. your right and even though im little and a girl i work on a farm and i make those things so i am positive that you are right. Oh and they are both cow.

  5. You're right, they are both ground beef but from different parts of the cow. The cheaper version is ground from various parts blended together and is fattier than a steak burger ground from steak.
