What's the difference between subtropical and temperate climate?

Tell me the differences and give me the cities that lie in their regions.

  1. The subtropics is anywhere from 23 1/2N to 35N and 23 1/2S to 35S. Subtropical cities are Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, Cairo, Madrid, Mexico City, Rome and Athens. A temperate climate is anywhere between 30N and 60N and 30S and 60S. Temperate cities are the ones I mentioned that are in the subtropics and London, Beijing, Anchorage, Moscow, Reykjavík. Those are just some of them to give you an idea but there are many more.
