  1. National guard is kind of like the name, they guard the nation, the army is in the US AND they go other places (like Iraq, join now, and you almost have a garunteed ticket there).  Coast guard stays in the US, too, in case you wondered.  The airforce, interestingly enough, has a long waiting list of people who want to go, but can't because there's too many of them who want it, so if you want to join and probably not go, the airforce is the place for you!

  2. The Army National Guard is the backbone of the Army.  We make up 90% of the armed forces.  We are the most deployed branch of the military.  We are held to the same standards as the Army.  I suggest the Air Guard.  The Air Guard or Air Force Reserve is the best reserve branch to go into.  Every branch deployes but they get the best training and treatment.  Plus with the Air Guard and Air Force Reserve you can get a good civilian job with the training you recieve.  Good luck and make sure you get all the info before you do anything.
