The cigars in question are Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan. Are they all pretty much the same or are there subtle differences?

Thanks.

  1. The tobacco tastes differently based on the seed variety used, growing conditions and soil.  The soils in those different places are different, so even if the same seed is planted and watered the same way, it would not be identical.  Of course, they choose different varieties different places too.

  2. You will get cancer if you smoke any of them.

  3. herfs got it

  4. Subtle differences and it depends on whether the cigar is a puros from that country.

As a rule of thumb, DR smokes are mild, Hondo smokes are earthy, and Nic smokes are full and spicy.

  5. Each has a different oil mixture.  Different oils have different tastes and smoothness.  All three of these tobaccos are commonly used together in the same cigar because the flavors and aroma compliment each other.

Each cigar by itself has a slightly different taste.
