there isn't one. it's just that the government refers to white people as caucasians, especially in the police departments

Past knowledge from filling out free school lunch forms, they ask for you to check a box for your race, and I remember that they say the continent your from and the race of that continent,  White is from Europe and Caucasian americas..

Caucasian refers to people whose ancestors hailed from Caucasia. The theory of human evolution describes three original ethnic types and they were given their names based on where on the globe they were located. In today's society most Americans don't know what their ethnic background is. For example, people that identify as African Americans don't always ancestors that hailed from Africa but they don't know that because they have been conditioned from birth to identify as such. The way that the words Caucasian and African American are used on government forms is actually to identify race. Race is understood by most as a group of people who share the same skin color and other genetic similarities. The truth is that race doesn't actually exist. You are no more likely to be genetically similar to someone of the same skin tone as you are to be genetically similar to someone of the opposite skin tone. Why the government chooses to divide people into groups based on non existent similarities is beyond me.
