  1. In the Qu'ran Allah forbids M,uslims to eat certain things

"Eat the lawful and good food that Allah has provided for you. He has forbidden only carrion, blood and swine flesh"

So Muslims are not allowed to consume blood. When an animal is killed the main arteries in its throat are severed and all the blood is left to drain out.

Whereas thats not how normal animals are killed :)

  2. this is a silly question..

Yes the animal is bleed to death..

Yes the animal is very aware of its death.

But the humans in charge Also have  a smidgen of respect for the animal or so they say..

Most of the TV clips show about 4 people in charge not including the film crew..

It does nothing for the quality of the meat and despite the nonsense about blood

Halal only is approved for the front half of the beast

    the rear is still unclean..

IT is all plain nonsense and a money grab by the religious..

it must be a USDA approved animal that is inspected before  going on sale..

  3. No, in halal slaughtering, the animals are killed very quickly. The difference between halal meat and regular meat is that in halal meat, the animal was slaughtered by blessing the animal first by reciting "Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim" (which means: By the name of God, The Most Compasionate, The Most Merciful). The person who slaughter the animal must be a sane muslim (preferably male). After blessing the animal, the butcher then cut the throat of the animal with a very sharp knife very quickly to drain the blood to kill it. It's almost similar with the Kosher slaughter, that's why many muslims prefer kosher meat when halal meat is not available. Modern method by stunning the animals is not permissible since it can cause the clotting of the blood in the animals' body which causes the meat is not good to consume. There is also no proof that the animals die instantly by stunning them

  4. no, its killed differently.

  5. there is no difference meat is meat, the only this is when it is called "halal" the meat has been slaughtered in an Islamic tradition, meaning a prayer is said before the animal is killed which is usually done with a quick slit at the throat

  6. Halal meat is killed in a way (a slit throat) so all the blood drains from the body (Halal Meat has no traces of blood in it)

"Regular" meat is normally killed by a gun, and therefore a lot of blood remains in the body.

  7. See the attached article for a definition of Halal meat. Pretty much, it is meat that is permissible in the Islam religion, and there are requirements for the types of meat (i.e., no pork) and the methods used to slaughter the animals. There is a similarity to kosher standards, and that is discussed as well.

  8. It's the way muslims slaughter the animals:

    .

  9. Halal meat  - Halal in Arabic means  'permissable'.The animal is slaughtered by allowing the whole blood bleeds out of the body & also by saying 'bismillah prayer'. Muslims believe that this helps the animal to die with less pain. Also the blodd wont be left with in the animal.

Regular Meat : Normally the meat is shot with a gun & which cause 'stunning' to the animal & the blod still satys inside the dead animal.
