What's the difference btw gangrene and an infarction??

  1. Gangrene is when a part of a body dies, and becomes black. This part has loss of blood supply to it or an infection.

    Infarction is when there is tissue or cell death because of loss of blood supply.

    Infacrtion doesn't have to be visible by the unassisted eyes. While gangrene is right there before your eyes: black and dead.

    And infarction is not infected.
