  1. It's all about tone. Les Pauls have a warm, fat tone that some people like over the twangy, sharper tone of a Fender Stratocaster. I have been playing Les Pauls for 16 years, out of preferance, because I like the tone of that particular guitar. Some people like different guitars for different reasons.

  2. I'll give you a simple, true answer. Les Paul's have a warmer, jazzier tone. That's what differentiates them from other guitars. The warmer, jazzier tone is a result of the unique pick-ups on a Les Paul guitar.

    I hope that helps!

  3. Obviously it has a distinctive tone. And is a tad more expensive than the others. Better or worse - depends on what sort of genre that you are looking at, what your style is and what sort of tone you need for the tune. But it definitely is an amazing guitar and many famous musicians treasure it.

  4. In a sense the best, but all guitars and their necks feel differently in different peoples hands.Example:I never cared for any fender stratocasters I ever played, but then one day I picked up one that just felt like me and sounded better than I felt the others did.Are Les Pauls different?..Yes,they have a sound all their own and I often can tell one one just by hearing a song.Someone else might offer a better response, and I just typed what came to mind from my experience.I hope this helped!
