What's the difference in using a regular car battery vs. the special car audio battery for aftermarket sounds?

  1. Not a whole lot , unless you planning on running the audio system with the car off.

    The battery acts a storage for electical power when the car is off, but the power comes from the alternator when the car is running.  A better better will definalty help to a degree by supplying a constant 12V because the Lithium batteries keep a constant voltage longer with a sharp  drop off when the battries die, and not a constant voltage drop like lead acid, but if the alternator can not handle the load, it wont make up for the voltage defiancy, the biggest thing you can do is make sure you have a high out put alternatior, install a capaciator to absorb the shock of the electical system, thus supplying a constant voltage to the amp.
