What's the different from compromise and improvise?

  1. If you improvise, you act spontaneously without prior planning.  You sort of make it up as you go. You make do with what is available to use. Improvising requires creativity and imagination.

    If you compromise, you are solving a problem with someone by giving in a little in order to get more/most of what you want from the other person who is involved. Compromise  requires the ability to see the other person's side, and the maturity to not always get your own way.

    I improvise when I use a piece of pencil eraser to hold my earring on after I have lost a backing.

    It is a  compromise when my teenager wants to come home at 1am, and I want her home by 11pm, and we split the difference and agree on midnight as the curfew.
